Mercury, Venus and Mars are considered the Personal Planets. They are the planets that are closest to Earth and, by default, physically closest to us as individuals. Think of them as the celestial bodies that are in our “personal” or more intimate planetary space. You will see this reflected in the way they represent how we feel, think, express, and exist. Physically, emotionally and mentally on various personal levels.
-Continue by placing the Mercury, Venus and Mars cards into position.
-Using your chart and personal placement sheet, find what sign your Mercury, Venus and Mars are in and pull the corresponding Sign card for each.
-Add the Element and Modality cards that are shown on each of the Sign cards pulled.
Note: Your Mercury, Venus and Mars can be in the same sign. In this case you will use the information on that card to all that apply
-Open to the Mercury, Venus and Mars pages in your Alterlife Journal. Combine and analyze the keywords and concepts on your cards and take notes. You will come back to each of these pages, but this will begin your basic understanding of your Personal Planets and the signs they're in.
Ex: For Venus in Scorpio you would place the Planet card for Venus, then pull the Sign card for Scorpio. This card will indicate the element and modality that corresponds to Scorpio (in this case the element is Water, the modality is Fixed). This combination of cards will give you an initial understanding of the planet Venus in the sign of Scorpio placement.
Note: This is just one part of your natal chart. There can be other factors that completely over power or contradict the above information. If something doesn’t resonate at all, it is very possible you have an emphasis on another, opposing sign in your chart. As you continue to break down your various placements, it will all fall into place.
